Welcome to the Consultative Council on Hepatitis C website

This website has been established to provide as much information as possible on all matters relating to Hepatitis C. The Consultative Council on Hepatitis C was established by the Minister for Health and Children on the 26th of November 1996 by Statutory Instrument, to advise on all matters relating to Hepatitis C. One of the main functions of the Council is the dissemination of information and this website provides access to information regarding entitlements to certain health services, information on living with Hepatitis C as well as details on all Council activities and events.

April 2013 - IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Minister for Health is re-establishing the Consultative Council on Hepatitis C for a 3 year term. He has reduced the number of members on the Council from 16 to 8. Each of the four support groups representing people who have been infected with Hepatitis C through blood and blood products will be asked to nominate representatives to be members of the Council.
